Now we have two batches that came through CATE and are getting ready to take in the third, I'd like you all to share what your experience of the whole process was like. Was it fun/ interesting/ intriguing or even scary for that matter? Got any interesting anecdote to tell?

well mam it started with our session....so it was full confusion as in what would be come in entrance. it was interesting and exiting as it was not based on our school sylabus rather more on general knowledge related to literature, latest novels, writers , movies based on novels etc. this pattern was a big releif for ppl who wanted to pursue english honours frm DU, and had niche for it bt scored only average over all. this patter refines the selection as to who actually have aptitude to go in literature field and who don't. m glad DU has started it....its really helpful for english honors aspirants.

CATE began with our session and I was scared that why so many new experiments have to be done with my batch only & then I couldnt score well. Before the exam I had no clues of what type of questions will be asked and so I read all the english books of class 7-12 and went through all the sample papers of school exams and the CATE questions were totally unexpected, though not boring or difficult. All my preparation went waste. & till the tym i didnt get admission in slc, it was a journey of sleepless nights and scary days. every cut-off list was a new series of suspenses. But all is well that ends well.

ReplyDeletei prepared it in the same manner as i prepared for my 12th boards. and when i gt thru with exam , i found it lil interesting and bit easy instead of scary n boring ..
i think that CATE is a great help for aspirants of English Hons.
